Where to Eat?
Many of our guests ask us where they should eat when they are staying with us at The Cozy Inn. We’re located about 15-20 minutes from both Kent and New Milford, so there are lots of options! Here’s a few of our favorite recommendations:
One of the best restaurants in the area, Arethusa serves delicious five-star meals in Bantam, about 20 minutes away. Make your reservations early, they tend to fill up way in advance!
Materia is one of the newer restaurants in the area, serving delicious Italian cuisine in a gorgeous, wide-open dining room. Located about 20 minutes north in Bantam, reservations are recommended on the weekends.
When we’re craving sushi, Yokohama is where we go. It’s about 25 minutes away in New Milford, and has a wide selection of Japanese cuisine.
The White Horse Country Pub and Restaurant is just off 202, past New Preston. They are very popular with a wide variety of pub and American cuisine, a big fireplace, and outdoor seating.
The Smithy Market and Cafe serve coffee and sandwiches for breakfast and lunch. You can also pick up locally grown and produced groceries and prepared foods. They often have art upstairs from area artists.
One of the newest additions to the area, Wilson’s serves delicious breakfast all day, sandwiches, coffee, tea, and desserts. They’re located in Kent, a few doors down from Kingsley Tavern.
